You climb so high up on your pedestal But watch your step you'll set yourself up to fall Oh no look at you walking around You got your head on your shoulders got your feet on the ground You got it all figured out till your world comes crumbling down You're walking across our souls like their stepping stones Walking across our souls like they're stepping stones Walking across our souls like they're stepping stones Laying your path and breaking our bones If he can't get up front he'll come creeping up back He's got it out for you He'll stop you in your tracks He's got us all in step He's got us all in key He's working us to the bone Oh Lord please set us free

Boring Song 04:01
I heard about that train that's bound for glory. And I heard about those streets of gold. I can't help but wonder why everyone around me is growing up getting boring getting old. This life is over int the blink of an eye I'm gonna meet my Lord in the sweet by and by. So why is everyone so set on waisting their lives growing up getting boring getting old? I'm going out with my guns blazing! Because I'd rather burn out than slowly fade away. I've heard about a new day that's coming. I'm going for to see my true home. It's impossible to get there without the heart of a child. Growing up getting boring getting old. You can go on with your lies and all your sensible advice! Just because you're sucking air doesn't mean you're alive. I'd rather leave this world with nothing at all than live my life like I don't have a soul because the truth of the matter is you're not in control!

There's a song I've been trying to write For the better part of my life To paint a picture of darkness and light And make something meaningful before I die But every song sounds like a rough draft Telling stories on God's behalf Nothing is new under the sun I have forgotten most everyone Mountains and valleys, rivers and oceans, Mothers and newborns, devotion The sun, the moon, the forest, the soil The rain and the harvest the laborers toil From every height to every depth The lovers whisper the lion's breath Be still my heart! My soul find rest!

Unborn Blues 03:02
I see a man standing up atop a hill He says come home with me it's time to get your fill I can see it in his eyes there's a truth to what he tells But the message is a secret and I'm afraid lest I grow ill I hear the preacher talking on that AM radio He says I'll go to hell unless Jesus saves my soul Now this Jesus he speaks of I've heard of once before But the people I see with Him seem like such a bore There's people all around me and they tell me where to go And I'm spinning round in circles standing up top this plateau I don't know where I'm headed and I don't know where I'll go But the choice is mine to make so you best move down the road I took my bible off the shelf just the other day I dusted off the cobwebs and all the old decay I soon began to realize that I had gone astray So I got down on my knees and prayed "Lord take my sins away" There's people all around me and they tell me where to go And I'm spinning round in circles standing up top this plateau I don't know where I'm headed and I don't know where I'll go But the choice is mine to make so you best move down the road

I wanna tell you a story I don't know which words to use Of kings and queens of soldiers and sailors But every word I sing just sounds like the blues I wanna tell you about my momma I wanna tell you about the place I grew up I wanna tell you how when you got nothin' you got nothin' to lose But every word I sing just sounds like the blues I wanna tell you about the hard times But it ain't ilke you don't already know I wanna tell you how I'll put these hands to good use But every word I sing just sounds like the blues

The River 04:15
Everybody lets go down Where the water's green and the mud is brown I wanna go. Oh Lord I wanna go! I've been in this place for far too long I've been pushing papers and answering phones I wanna go. Oh Lord I wanna go! When that free wind gets to blowing through my hair I feel like I would be just fine living in the middle of no where There's a tire-swing down by the swimming hole I wanna jump in the river in all my clothes I wanna go. Oh Lord I wanna go! I wanna stain my jeans I wanna dirty my face I wanna forget about this old rat race I wanna go. Oh Lord I wanna go! We'll remember what it feels like to be in love We'll remember what its like when what you have is good enough Everybody says you have to grow up sooner or later But I still feel like a child It's hard to be so civilized and refined When inside my heart's still running wild
