Probably the most sung-a-long song at every Patchwork show ever. This song has been played at every Patchwork show since the bands beginning and I imagine it always will. There's something about this song that just tugs at the kid in all of us. It tells you "Hey it's a summers day and life is good! Dive in!"
lyrics
Everybody lets go down
Where the water's green and the mud is brown
I wanna go. Oh Lord I wanna go!
I've been in this place for far too long
I've been pushing papers and answering phones
I wanna go. Oh Lord I wanna go!
When that free wind gets to blowing through my hair
I feel like I would be just fine living in the middle of no where
There's a tire-swing down by the swimming hole
I wanna jump in the river in all my clothes
I wanna go. Oh Lord I wanna go!
I wanna stain my jeans I wanna dirty my face
I wanna forget about this old rat race
I wanna go. Oh Lord I wanna go!
We'll remember what it feels like to be in love
We'll remember what its like when what you have is good enough
Everybody says you have to grow up sooner or later
But I still feel like a child
It's hard to be so civilized and refined
When inside my heart's still running wild
